Founded in 2014 by twin sisters Elise and Raphaëlle Covilette and their childhood friend, Béatrice Gherara, Kokoroe successfully secured initial funding with French investors such as Xavier Niel and Daniel Marhely, having been accelerated by Microsoft Ventures. With its unique approach, the startup has enjoyed very significant growth and become unavoidable in the sphere of e-learning.

Kokoroe has received multiple awards, including the BFM Business "Tech for Good Award" in 2020.
